Questions
Still wondering about something? Ask us at support@friendfeedwow.com.
Is the addon really free?
Yes. The addon is free and never shows ads in game. The $5 is for offline history, which needs a server to store and pass on your friends' milestones while you're away.
Do you see my Battle.net password?
No. You sign in on Battle.net's own page, the same way you would for any app Blizzard lets you connect. We only get your account id and BattleTag, which is how we know who your friends are.
What do you store?
Your BattleTag, your characters' names, your Battle.net friend list (as BattleTags) and the milestones the addon records: what happened, when, and where in the game it came from. Your public profile too, if you turn one on. No password, no chat, no gold. See the privacy page for every detail.
Whose milestones do I see?
Live, in game: friends and (if you switch it on) guildmates who are online with you and have the addon. Offline history: Battle.net friends who use the app, as long as you have each other on your friend lists, plus anyone you follow. Adding a stranger to your friend list does nothing unless they add you too.
Do my friends need to pay for me to see them?
No. Everyone with the app shares their milestones. Only the person who wants to receive offline history needs the Offline & Social Tier.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, any time. Go to your account and choose Delete account. Everything is removed right away.
Is it a subscription?
No. Today it's a single $5 USD payment (a launch price), and there's nothing to cancel. If we ever change the price or how we charge, we'll say so here first; nothing is ever charged without a new purchase you make yourself.
Can I get a refund?
No. Your Offline & Social Tier starts the moment you pay, so please read the terms before paying.
What if Blizzard blocks it, or you shut it down?
Friend Feed is a small fan project and we can't promise it will run forever. Blizzard could change the game or its rules so it stops working, or we might decide to stop running it. If that happens, the Offline & Social Tier ends with it and there's no refund. We'll say so on this website when we can. The addon itself keeps working with friends who are online at the same time for as long as the game allows it.
Can using Friend Feed get me in trouble with Blizzard?
The addon only uses the normal addon interface the game gives every addon. The app reads the addon's saved settings file after you log out, writes one file in the addon's folder, and can install and update the addon there. It never changes the game, runs inside it, or automates anything. Even so, Blizzard sets the rules for addons and accounts, so you use Friend Feed at your own risk, and we can't be responsible for anything that happens to your Battle.net or game account. See the terms.
